Sketch Challenge at C4G

Hello again,

Well day one of my summer break was spent playing at 'Widow Twanky' - how many loads of washing can one household create? Think my girls emptied their wardrobes out! At least we have the sunny weather back to dry it, but now someone needs to iron it all! Any volunteers?

On a crafting note, it's time for our next challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week Julie has a sketch for us to follow. Here's what it looks like ...

And here's how I interpreted it for my DT inspiration ...

I used paper and co-ordinating cardstock from my stash. The two square panels are embossed and sanded back to highlight some of the pattern. I chose little 'Fizzy Moon' with his pint pot and coloured him with my Promarkers. I used my little tiny alphabet stamps to create the 'Cheers' sentiment. A piece of ribbon and a few co-ordinating card candi and voila!

Hope you will join us this week with your own interpretations of our sketch challenge.

Fantasy Stampers Challenge 15 - Animal Magic

Good morning to you all,

Well, what can I say - finished school for the summer and had great plans to lounge about in the sun yesterday and what happens?!? Bliddy rain and thunderstorms! Lol

Anyway, back to the crafting - it's time for another challenge over at my own challenge blog

For the next two weeks the theme will be

'ANIMAL MAGIC'

So we would love to see all your gorgeous creations using those animal stamps that we all have in our stash. Here's what I made for my DT inspiration ...

Yep, I'm afraid it's LOTV again - I am in love with these stamps. This one is so cute - it's called 'Blowing Bubbles' and is coloured with my grey Promarkers. The bubbles have an extra glaze of Glossy Accents to highlight them. Papers are from Craftwork Cards and embellies are from my stash.

We now have a Guest Designer spot available each month, so if any of you are interested please give me a shout. Contact details are at the top of the blog, or you can find me on Facebook.

I hope you will come and play along with us.

L for Lace

Happy Friday,

Yep, it's definitely a happy one - I finally finished school for the summer yesterday. So a good few weeks to look forward to and plenty of crafting.

It's time for our next letter at the Alphabet Challenge and this week we are up to the letter 'L' and Jennifer has chosen

  'LACE'

Here's what I made for my DT inspiration ...

I decided to use one of my new sentiment stamps as the focal point for this one - it's from Inkylicious and I just love it. I stamped in versamark ink and embossed in gold detail embossing powder. The background paper is from one of my LOTV paper pads - 'Beach Bliss'. All other embellishments, including the lovely lace are from my stash.

Hope you can come and join us this time.

At the Beach

Good morning to you all,

Only three more days to go now - not that I am counting!! Lol.

I'm back today with our next challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week team member Diane has chosen the theme of

'AT THE BEACH'

Well, having searched through my stamps it would appear that I have very little beach themed stuff (note to self - must buy some!) So, here's what I came up with for my DT inspiration using my limited supplies ...

I decided to make a tag this week - I started by applying ink to the background using my ink dusters. I used three different distress inks (Frayed Burlap for the sand and Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans for the sky). Then a little stencilling with some Chipped Sapphire to make the diamond shapes. I stamped the shell (the only beachy thing I could find) using the Frayed Burlap ink and added it to the tag, together with a few real sea shells. I used some fibres to wrap around the tag and added a little lighthouse charm that I found in my stash before layering the whole thing onto some kraft card. The wording was produced on my pc and a little doodled border to finish off.

I hope you can come and play at the beach with us this week.

Ribbons and Lace

Good morning everyone,

I am getting a little giddy now - only one week left at school before my summer break! Eeeek.

Anyway, back to crafting and we have a brand new challenge over at My Besties UK this morning. As always our challenges are now 'Anything Goes', but we have an optional theme if anyone would like to play. The design team were challenged to use the theme of

'RIBBONS & LACE'

Here's what I made for my DT inspiration, using Sherri's gorgeous 'Dancing Daphne' (image 826) which can be bought from her Etsy store HERE.

She is coloured with my Promarkers and mounted on card and backing paper from my stash. I have also used a piece of gorgeous white lace and a length of pink organza ribbon, which is ruffled onto a piece of double sided tape to give a little dimension. Embellishments include some die-cut butterflies, a pretty die-cut flower and a stamped sentiment, together with a few self adhesive pearls.

I hope you will come and play along with us this time.

A spot of DIY

Hello there,

Tuesday means it's time for our next challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week it was my turn to choose the theme. So for the next seven days we would love to see your projects for men using the theme of

'DO IT YOURSELF' (DIY)

Here's what I made for my DT inspiration using my favourite LOTV products (just for a change!) ...

The image is called 'Lick of Paint' and I stamped it on watercolour paper and coloured it with my distress inks for a change. Not a Promarker in sight!! Lol.

The backing paper is from the LOTV paper pad 'Father Knows Best' and the sentiment is stamped using an old greetings set. A couple of little blue brads and a couple of buttons from my stash to finish off.

Hope you can join us this week.

Fantasy Stampers Challenge 14 - CAS

Good morning everyone,

It's time for our next challenge over at my challenge blog -

Just a reminder that we are still looking for Guest Designers for our new midway motivation posts, so if you are interested - why not pop over to the main blog HERE and check out the details.

Now, onto the details of the new challenge which launches today. The theme for the next two weeks will be

Can't wait to see all those clean looking projects, so away with the embellishments now! Lol.

Here's what I made for my DT inspiration ...

This piece is 6x6" square - I cut out an oval aperture from a piece of copier paper and secured it over my white card. I used a Clarity brickwork stencil and brushed distress inks through it with my ink dusters, using 'Peacock Feathers', Picked Raspberry' and 'Chipped Sapphire' inks. The tree silhouette stamp is from the Stampin Up set 'Serene Silhouettes' and is stamped in black archival ink. The wording is from one of Clarity's word chains and is also stamped in black archival ink. I mounted the whole piece on a co-ordinating cardstock and job done. I am beginning to love this clean and simple look - great for if you need a quick card.

I hope you can come along and join us this time, and watch out for our new 'Winner's Post' which will now be published on the Sunday following each new challenge.

K for Kites

Good morning,

We have a new theme over at the Alphabet Challenge this morning. We are up to the letter 'K' and Caz has chosen the theme of
'KITES'

Now this one caused me a problem! Do I have anything at all with a kite on! No! So here's what I ended up with for my DT inspiration ...

All hand drawn and zentangled with my micron pens! The added sentiment is from the 'Sassy Salutations' set at Stampin Up and is stamped in black archival ink. Simply mounted on black card and then on a DL white card blank.

Hope you can join us over the next couple of weeks.

A new Baby Boy

Good morning,

Well, that's half of the year gone already - where did that go!?

It's time for our next challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week our leader, Caz, has chosen the theme of
'HELLO BABY BOY'

Here's my DT inspiration, which I have to admit is a recycled one due to my time constraints over the weekend (so please forgive me) ...

This one is 6x6" in size and used a Saturated Canary image called 'Butterfly Baby' and is coloured with my Promarkers. The 'Baby' lettering is stamped using my Clarity 'Letterbox' stamp set and the small tags are die-cut and stamped to spell 'Boy'. Backing papers are from my stash and embellies include a doily, some paper flowers, a little twine to hang the cute little tags and a few adhesive pearls. Hope you like it.

Why not pop along and check out what my teamies have been up to - hope you can play along this week.
