Flower of Hope

Well, my beach scene card on Friday must have been a sign - we have had some lovely sunshine here today, actually got some jobs done outside!

I had to fit some crafting in too - I have my second art journaling page to show you today.  I definitely think this one is an improvement on the first and I even used more handwritten lettering (instead of cheating on the pc!)  Here's what it looks like ...

It all began with a piece of plain white A5 card - the background is made using Victorian Velvet and Peeled Paint distress inks applied with an ink tool.  I then added loads of interesting features using a similar array of items as the last one - I also used some twinkling H2Os to add a bit of glimmer.  The flower is partly drawn and part paper pieced from stashbox scraps.  I used a combination of black micron pen and white gel pen to doodle and the handwriting is all my own this time (very daring!)

I'm off to see Westlife on their final tour tonight, so won't be around until later.  Enjoy the rest of your day.
Hugz, Jan xx

  1. Oooh your journal page is wonderful, I'm a recent convert to art journalling and I've been addicted to it ever since. I recently went on a class at Art From The Heart where Kate Crane taught us how to draw in our journals. I love it so much. I really like your colours, your doodling and your words. Michelle x
