Morning everyone,
Well, I can't keep up with the weather - it's raining and so cold here again this weekend, so much for the jubilee celebrations. BBQ under the carport at this rate!
On a positive - at least I don't feel guilty sat in my craft room! Lol. I have been very busy designing for a new launch at Polkadoodles (but all is top secret for now). Tune in to Create & Craft next Saturday (9th June) at noon and 4pm and all will be revealed.
I thought I would show you my latest art journaling piece - the colours were inspired by the lovely sunny days, which I think I imagined last week. Here goes ...
The background was made using Mustard Seed and Shabby Shutters distress ink, with a little Peeled Paint inked around the edges. The usual array of bits and pieces I had lying around helped make the background, with a good old splash of water too. I used some white gesso on the edge of an old credit card to make the white lines top and right. Lots of freehand doodling, which I am feeling more confident with now and some text torn from an old book; I still shudder every time I attack a book, but have to remind myself that it is being recycled in the name of art. Lots of handwriting scattered about too, if you take a closer look.
Right, back to the design board - hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday weekend, rain or shine.
Hugz, Jan xx
A gorgeous page Jan and really love the green and yellow, so cheery on a yuk day.
ReplyDeleteFabulous patriotic card below too and sorry for lack of comments - same reason you've been busy lol
Have a great time despite the weather.
Hugs, Fliss xx
Brilliant page Jan. Love everything about it, your doodling is fantastic and the colours so fresh,
