At the Beach

Good morning to you all,

Only three more days to go now - not that I am counting!! Lol.

I'm back today with our next challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week team member Diane has chosen the theme of

'AT THE BEACH'

Well, having searched through my stamps it would appear that I have very little beach themed stuff (note to self - must buy some!) So, here's what I came up with for my DT inspiration using my limited supplies ...

I decided to make a tag this week - I started by applying ink to the background using my ink dusters. I used three different distress inks (Frayed Burlap for the sand and Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans for the sky). Then a little stencilling with some Chipped Sapphire to make the diamond shapes. I stamped the shell (the only beachy thing I could find) using the Frayed Burlap ink and added it to the tag, together with a few real sea shells. I used some fibres to wrap around the tag and added a little lighthouse charm that I found in my stash before layering the whole thing onto some kraft card. The wording was produced on my pc and a little doodled border to finish off.

I hope you can come and play at the beach with us this week.
Hugz, Jan xx
