Autumn Leaves

Happy Saturday,

I hope everyone has some crafty plans for the weekend - I have some school work to do before I go in my craft room, then I have some wedding invitations to design.

I'm back today with news of the next challenge over at 'Fantasy Stampers' and for the next two weeks we would love to see your projects showcasing

'AUTUMN LEAVES'

Here's what I made for my DT inspiration ...

I was trying to get a bit more 'arty' with my photos, but not sure I managed it - it just looks like I forgot to clear away!! Lol.

My card is made using lots of little individual stamps from my stash - I went through lots of my acrylic stamps and pulled out those with the tiny little stamps on them.

I drew a feint circle on my piece of cardstock, then stamped each stamp in turn, roughly at the quarter points on the circle. I had a few gaps left at the end, so filled them with acorns and butterflies (and a little bit of doodling!)  I coloured the leaves with my Promarkers and stamped the sentiment in the centre (which went horribly wrong, as it does) so I had to stamp again, cut it out and stick it in the middle!

Lots of layering to finish off, including some gold mirri card to give a little bit of shine.

I hope you can come along at play at the challenge this time.

Autumn Colours

Good morning,

I hope you all have plans for a great weekend.

It's time for our next theme over at Fantasy Stampers and for the next two weeks we have a photo inspiration challenge based around 'AUTUMN COLOURS'. Here's the photo we used ...

I love this time of year - the colours are fabulous and I tried to echo this in my DT project - here's what I made ...

This one is 6x6" in size using brown cardstock for the main card - layered with burgundy and then cream. The sentiments are stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with copper powder. All the leaves were stamped out onto a piece of book paper that I coloured with Dylusion inks, then embossed with copper powder and cut out - it took me ages! I also used some extra die-cut foliage to build up the corner. There is also a little pumpkin nestled in the leaves which began life as a silver charm, but I also embossed him with copper powder to blend in. A few inky splatters, some adhesive pearls and a bit of copper glitter to finish off.

I hope you will come and play along with your own Autumn projects - see you there.

Autumn Time

Hi there,

Sorry I've not been around much this week - it's been a tough one!

It's time for the next challenge over at Polkadoodles and this week we would love to see your 'AUTUMN' themed projects. So, whether it be a nice autumn scene, something halloween themed or just an autumn colour scheme - it's up to you. The design team were challenged to make an autumn scene, so here's what I came up with for my DT inspiration ...

I used the 'Sundae of Seasons CD' together with 'Bonbon Belles' to make my scene and added a multitude of images, overlaying them to build the picture. I used distress inks behind the scene to fill in the sky and added a piece of backing paper, a greeting and some fussy cut leaves for added decoration.

Don't forget to check out the main blog to see some more inspiration from my talented teamies.

Come Rain or Shine

Happy Sunday to you all,

It's time for my weekly post over at Sherri Baldy Art and as we seem to be coming to the end of the summer with Autumn approaching fast, I thought this little Bestie image was perfect. We had lots of rain on Friday when I was making this card, so I'm glad she is sheltering under her umbrella.

I used image 735 which you can buy from Sherri's on-line store HERE.  I recently won a set of 'Graph It' alcohol markers and thought this was a good time to try them out. I coloured the image with just the Skintones set, which were perfect for my colour scheme. I even used the blender pen to make the little dots on the umbrella. Papers are from my stash and the leaves are stamped, coloured to match, cut out and glittered - I thought they made a nice change to flowers! Lol.

If you love your Besties as much as I do - watch out for the Blog Hop over at My Besties UK tomorrow - I will be back in the morning with full details.

Autumn

Hi there crafters,

It's Friday challenge time over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog and this week's theme is 'AUTUMN'.

I love the colour palette that this week's challenge offers and decided to make a word book for my DT project using the letters and template from the 'Candy Doodles' CD.

Here's four easy steps to make your own word book:

Step One:
Print out your chosen papers (details of where to find mine below):

Brown polkadot - Picknix 2 'Gingerbread Twist'
Red polkadot - Pen & Paper Circle 3
Orange crosses - Sugar Birdies
Brown circles - Paper Boutique Vol 1

Step Two:
Cover your letters and template with chosen papers
and cut around the letters.

Step Three:
Align the letters and trim all pieces to the same length,
punch and secure with your chosen fastening.

Step Four:
Embellish to your hearts content!
All my embellishments are printed from the 'Sundae of Seasons' CD.
A couple of ribbon ties, some bling and the little 'FUN' pennants
are from my stash.

Hope you like my project this week - don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog for some more great inspiration from my fab teamies.  I shall look forward to seeing your entries.
